I love opening it to see all the little tools with charms on the pockets and that adorable Christmas tree pincushion in the center. I had been right to be nervous about putting it together - it was not easy. The directions were good, though, and despite a few near disasters, it all worked out in the end.
We have had a wonderful Christmas week with family, friends, and lots and lots of food. Now that things are quieting down, I have been spending some time stitching to my heart's content and planning my 2008 stitching goals. Stitching and dreaming...it doesn't get much better than this!

Very pretty! I love the gingham material. What did mom say?

That came out very nice! What a great gift. I am so glad you were able to get it done in time. Do you think you will make another one for yourself?
By the way, did you see the huge stitching bag Cindy got for Christmas? I think she is going to try and outshop us next time :)
Happy New Year,
Kim
You did it Monica !!!! I have thought of you, and whether or not you got it finished. It looks just FANTASTIC!! Is your mom a stitcher too? Hope she appreciates all the hours and work you put into it. Now, you have to make one for yourself too!
Nikki
Hi everyone!
My Mom, who is an experienced stitcher, really loved it and said she couldn't wait to show it off to her Thursday morning quilting group.
The gingham was pretty but I found it difficult to stitch on. I had to draw the lines for the gingham checks onto the chart to make it less confusing.
There is probably NO WAY I will ever make one for myself. I rarely make the same thing twice and assembling it was tough. Maybe someday...if enough time goes by that I forget the two days I spent putting it together! :)
Cindy's bag is awesome! What a thoughtful gift. :)
Happy New Year, everyone!
Hi - I realize that this seems a little odd but I was wondering if you still had the JN Christmas workshop chart? If you did, would you mind selling it?
